A visual artist residing in regional Victoria, Nerrida Parfitt's oil paintings offer a surreal perspective of the Australian environment.
Inspired by the beauty and richness of architecture in urban and rural towns, Nerrida’s work is whimsical in nature, yet bold and emotive. Her application of colour helps to further convey a dreamlike quality, while each composition demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the practice and evolution of visual art and design.
Largely influenced by the Surrealist movement, Nerrida’s compositions explore distorted perceptions by presenting constructed environments in an organic way.
